TES outcomes

TES doesn't just provide insight, it provides results. These real-life examples illustrate how TES can improve outcomes for your district, school and students.

District example 1

Activity

  • Used the School Overview historical report to demonstrate the positive impact on overall A-G rates of hiring one or two additional counselors at each school in the district.
  • Used the Course Benchmarks historical report to further isolate the A-G improvements to improve course placements in subject areas C and D.

Results

In one year...

  • Area C "on track" status of 11th graders increased by 13% (from 43% to 56%).
  • Area C completion of 12th graders increased by 15% (from 59% to 74%).
  • The percentage of 12th graders who successfully completed all A-G requirements increased 11% (from 33% to 44%)

District example 2

Activity

  • Used CMP Alignment reports to identify A-G courses that were incorrectly omitted from school course lists.
  • Used CMP correction upload process to add missing transcript abbreviations and local course IDs to school course lists.

Results

  • Identified and corrected 47,158 transcript abbreviations associated with 766 courses across 175 high schools.
  • Identified and added 207 A-G courses that were omitted from school course lists.

District example 3

Activity

  • Performed trend analysis to view historical grade level increases and decreased in "meeting" A-G grade level benchmark requirements.
  • Trend analysis was further broken down to specific subject areas, and Area D was isolated as an obstacle to overall A-G completion.

Results

  • Adjust counseling practices to enroll students in a 9th grade NGSS Area D approved course. This increased successful Area D completion because students did not need to wait until 11th grade to complete Area D with a chemistry course.
  • Overall Area D completion by 12th graders increased across the district by 6% (from 56% to 62%).
  • Overall A-G completion by 12th graders also increased across the district by 6% (from 29% to 35%).
